Introduction
The New History of America Rock Art / Artfacts pages provide a look-see into a whole new world of art, archaeology and history.
Over decades I visited and studied ancient petroglyph sites in America to better understand our past with an eye to better comprehend the present. With a background in exploring sacred sites and the insights gleaned from mentors, collaborators and other explorers, I penned Secrets of Ancient America: Archaeoastronomy and the Legacy of the Phoenicians, Celts, and other Foreign Explorers, which describes a lost history of the America’s and presents new insights into foreign explorers’ visits to the Americas long before Columbus.
During excursions to Kansas in 2019 and Kentucky in 2020 I rediscovered another incredible feature of the New History of America – Portable Rock Art (PRA). My current focus is to bring to light this little understood and unrecognized ancient artform. My book, More Than Meets The Eye: (re)Discovering Portable Rock Art, reveals what I’ve learned about this overlooked paleo art tradition.
I continue my life-long passion for ancient rock art with excursions and journeys to sacred sites related to the New History of America and welcome input, questions and collaborations.
